She is deeply committed to characterizing the “active ingredients” of lifestyle interventions as it pertains to maintaining mental sharpness in aging adults. Joyce was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Neurology at the University of Miami (UM) Miller School of Medicine for 7 years, and maintains a voluntary affiliation with UM as Voluntary Professor of Neurology. In the past 2 years, she has been at the forefront of innovation at Linus Health, a cutting-edge health tech startup, where she applied her skills to develop digital lifestyle interventions that are reshaping the way we approach mental health and well-being. Dr. Gomes-Osman has founded Physical Therapy for Mental Sharpness because she misses patient contact, and she wants to apply her expertise and skills to directly influence people’s lives in a positive manner.
